"Yes, now." Click. The phone went silent.It took Race about 30 minutes to get dressed, shove some sort of food in his mouth, and drive down to the office to pick up the keys from his boss. Truck handed the keys to him, without saying a word. Truck knew not to bring up the reason he was in before his scheduled time. That would have set off a long dialogue of unfavorable comments about the new boss, and both Race and Truck knew... people were always listening.
He managed to make it to the address of his boss' apartment in the city. To his knowledge, most of the boss' time was spent in his beach house.
