D-Snoop (Born: August 20, 1979) started his career in the adult industry as a production assistant. He got into the adult industry through his best friend, porn star Mr. Pete.
D-Snoop transformed his career as a production assistant to full-fledged porn star. He has starred in productions for some of the biggest porn studios in the adult industry. He's appeared in films for Red Light District, Evil Angel, Black Market, Digital Sin and Chatsworth Pictures.
Standing 6' and weighing 175 lbs, the 30-year-old performer of Black, French and Indian descent has also dabbled in directing. His directorial debut was 2007's Sucking Me POV: South Beach for Platinum X Pictures.
I sat down with D-Snoop to chat about how he got into the adult industry, his favorite porn starlets and his directorial debut.
Papi Chulo: How long have you been in the adult industry?
D-Snoop: I've been in the adult industry for about five years. Since 2004.
PC: How did you get into the adult industry?
D-Snoop: Through my best friend in the whole world, Mr. Pete.
PC: What did you do in the adult industry prior to becoming a performer?
D-Snoop: I used to do production assistant (P.A.) work. So, I was pretty much the bitch. (LOL) Get this. Get that. Wipe that up. Call this person.
PC: How did you end up performing?
D-Snoop: Wow. What's a simple way of answering that? I guess I came out of my shell. That's the nicest way to say that my balls dropped. My confidence grew through being a P.A. and watching other male talent do what they did. In time, my confidence built. I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to perform in front of the camera and I did well... well enough to continue. In 2004, Missy Monroe, before I did P.A., she squirted on me. I didn't know what squirt was, and the whole thing. Then I started to P.A. and my confidence kept going.
PC: How did you come up with your porn name?
D-Snoop: Actually Jim Powers gave me my name. He gave me an opportunity. I was fortunate. I did a scene... I forget who the girl was. At the end of the scene, I was asked what I was going to call myself. He said, "You look like Snoop Dogg. Call yourself 'Snoop Dogg.'" I said, "I can't call myself 'Snoop Dogg.'" So, he said, "Call yourself 'D-Snoop.'" So, that's how "D-Snoop" was born. Thanks to Jim Powers.
PC: Were you always interested in doing porn?
D-Snoop: Yes. Absolutely. I used to work in an adult store, like a novelty store, where guys come in and look at the girls and jerk off... blah blah blah... rent movies, etc. etc. I used to work in one of those. I used to rent movies and watch hours and hours at a time. I never fast forwarded. I'd watch them in its entirety. I've wanted to do this since I was like 18.
PC: What was your first day on a porn set like?
D-Snoop: The common phrase always used, it was surreal. I can't describe it. It was fun. It was nothing like I could expect. I didn't have an idea. Being a fan, I never knew what a porn set would be like. It was amazing. It was great. I was shocked, surprised, comfortable, uncomfortable all at the same time.
PC: Who have been some of your favorite starlets to work with?

PC: What do you enjoy most about starring in porn scenes?
D-Snoop: I'mma be honest with you. Having sex with the girls. I mean... that's being honest.
PC: You have been featured in a variety of scenes that range from one-on-ones to threesomes to group sex. Which do you enjoy being in the most?
D-Snoop: Oh that's a no brainer. The one-on-ones. By myself.
PC: In a scene, which do you enjoy the most: oral, vaginal sex or anal sex?
D-Snoop: That's a toss up between one of the penetrations. We will go with vaginal.
PC: In a scene, where is your favorite place to shoot your load?
D-Snoop: Hmm... mouth.
PC: You have starred in several gangbang and orgy-style productions. Do those scenes ever get uncomfortable or claustrophobic?
D-Snoop: For me? No. 'Cause I know where I am with myself sexually and I'm cool. I'm straight. I got me.
PC: Is there an aspect of the adult industry that you don't enjoy?
D-Snoop: That's such a fucking tough question. Hmm... for myself personally? My inconsistencies... The fact that work has slowed down. The inconsistent amount of work. I just wish I could work more. I'm not working enough. That's not a cool answer. I mean, I work, but I always want to do more. Whatever I do ain't enough. That's how we are as individuals.
PC: What has been one of your most memorable shoots?
D-Snoop: 'Cause you're only as good as your last scene. With that, I would say my recent scene with Tatiana Kush. And I ran with it. The director ended up saying just put her in doggy and pop. I would say my recent scene.
PC: You have worked for a lot of popular porn companies (i.e. Red Light District, Evil Angel, Black Market and Digital Sin). Is there a particular studio you enjoy working for the most?
D-Snoop: No answer. There isn't a particular one. I like 'em all.
PC: You have shared some scenes with a lot of the top male performers in the industry. Are there any male performers you have developed close friendships with?
D-Snoop: Oh yes. It's obvious, Mr Pete. I've developed close relationships with Manuel Ferrara, Mark Wood, Michael Stefano and Lee Bang. I mean, yeah, I'm kind of close with those guys.
PC: You have starred in several Chatsworth Pictures productions (such as: Oh No, There's A Negro In My Daughter 2, Oh No, There's A Negro In My Wife 2, Oh No There's A Negro In My Mom 2 and I Can't Believe You Sucked A Negro 4). Do you ever feel that interracial porn goes a little too far with the titles they give DVDs?
D-Snoop: Um.. Me? Personally? No. An there's a lot of reasons. For one, I mean, I'm not as ignorant as I used to be. In saying that, I'm not 100% Black. I'm Black, French and Indian. So, I may not be as ignorant as I used to be. "Oh, There's a Negro"... My ignorance would find it more offensive at a younger age. As I've gotten older, I understand myself and my heritage. And there's a business aspect to it. For whatever reason, these types of things sell and it's profitable. I can't lie. I enjoy fucking the shit out of the girls and it's just fun for me. I'm older. I understand myself, so that doesn't bother me. Especially when I'm fucking the girl. How's that going to bother me? I mean, that's just me. I'm going to bang this chick. She's gonna suck my dick. I could care less what she's saying. "Negro" this? I'm like, "Negro suck my dick." It kind of motivates me in a sick way.
PC: You directed Sucking Me POV: South Beach for Platinum X Pictures in 2007. What was it like to direct your first adult flick? Will you be directing again in the future?
D-Snoop: It was... Can I say it was off the chain? It was fun. Every emotion that I could have, I had it. Being happy, but also being unsure. Thinking am I doing this the right way? Am I doing this? Being a little confident, but at the same time not sure of myself all the way. It was fun. I ain't gonna lie. It was a learning experience. Directing more? I would like to think so if the opportunity was given to me through hard work. I don't have anything lined up at the moment. But, I do see myself directing.
PC: How and when did you lose your virginity?
D-Snoop: The first time I lost my virginity I was at a park. And the girl, she fucked me at the park in the bathrooms in Las Vegas. I was like 17 or 18.
PC: What do you enjoy doing sexually?
D-Snoop: Cumming. The end. The pop. The money shot.
PC: Do you get into any kinds of fetishes?
