Actress Brittany Murphy passed away Sunday in Los Angeles, California. She was 32.
Murphy launched her acting career in the early '90s with small television roles in Sister, Sister and Boy Meets World. She is best known for her roles in the feature films Clueless, Girl, Interrupted and 8 Mile.
Alicia Silverstone (Clueless co-star): "I'm so saddened to hear this news. I loved working with Brittany. She was so talented, so warm and so sweet. I always felt connected to her as we shared a very special experience in our lives together. I feel love in my heart for her-and hope she is at peace."
Murphy died at 10:04 am on Sunday at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call by her husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, at 8am. Murphy was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Donald Faison (Clueless and Uptown Girls co-star): "Brittany was one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She had the voice of an angel and a genuine heart of gold. I'm very happy to have known and worked with such a special person. My heart goes out to all of her loved ones."
