Rodney St. Cloud (Born: December 3, 1973) is a former firefighter, former competitive bodybuilder, successful exotic dancer and an erotic internet icon. The 36-year-old bodybuilder of Haitian descent fell in love with bodybuilding at a young age. He entered a bodybuilding competition in high school. He won in the lightweight class. From 1989 to 1999, St. Cloud competed in over 30 bodybuilding shows. In 1999. he became an I.F.B.B. (International Federation of Bodybuilders) professional bodybuilder. After 14 years of training, he was one of the best and most popular in the world. St. Cloud's bodybuilding career reached its pinnacle when he placed 12th at Mr. Olympia.
Once Rodney St. Cloud was on cloud 9, his world came crumbling down. On April 15, 2005, he was fired from his job as a FDNY firefighter after testing positive for steroids. He was arrested for allegedly ordering steroids from China. On May 5, 2005, he was acquitted on all charges. But all of his hard work had been destroyed.
But, Rodney St. Cloud wasn't a quitter. He decided to make a comeback in the biggest way possible. In 2006, he competed in the Ironman Pro Invitational with the help of 2009 Mr. Olympia Kai Greene. They both stormed the stage and did something that had never been done before. Their routine was exactly what bodybuilding needed. The audience loved their fun and creative routines. The powers that be didn't approve of it. St. Cloud competed in six pro shows in 2006, but was placed lower than expected. He felt the his outside life (the arrest, exotic dancing and website) were clouding the bodybuilding communities' judgment. So, St. Cloud left the I.F.B.B. for Wayne DeMilia's Pro Division Inc. (PDI).
Rodney St. Cloud's website, RodneyStCloud.com, is a fan favorite. The website initially started off as a softcore site that featured erotic vignettes and nude imagery. The site took a turn to hardcore. It now features full hardcore sex scenes, erotic nude workout tips and solo scenes. St. Cloud has taken the success of his official site and used it to create another site, StrippersInTheHood.com. StrippersInTheHood.com features videos and interviews with exotic dancers of color.
I sat down with Rodney to chat about how he became an exotic dancer, his rise in the bodybuilding community, the steroid allegations, the growth of his website and its turn to hardcore erotica and his future plans in the adult industry.
Rodney St. Cloud: Since 1995.
PC: How did you get started dancing?
RSC: Actually a high school friend of mine suggested that I start dancing. My friend knew I had a body and thought the body should be an excellent dancer.
PC: What name do you go by when you dance?
RSC: Hot Rod. That's actually a nickname. It's a derivative of Rodney. That's a Hip-Hop name a friend gave me in Kindergarten. That's when I received the nickname "Hot Rod".
RSC: Actually I dance for both. I would prefer to dance for a mixed crowd, not just men individually. I definitely want to touch that real quick. I really think that entertainment is not for one person or for one class. Entertainment is for everybody to enjoy and appreciate. For instance, the reason why I dance in a ladies club, they never say men aren't allowed in the ladies club. There's always men in ladies clubs. Most of the gay clubs, when I talk to the owner, they specifically only want gay men inside. That's almost a reverse discrimination. I always tell people that email me, in regards to hiring me, that I like to party with anyone. And I will dance for anybody. And I've done it before.
PC: How do exotic dancers maintain their erections throughout their performances?
RSC: I wear a makeshift cock ring. A regular cock ring doesn't do the job. I take a stocking and I do what they call a "wrap". It's pretty much like a cock wrap. It's tight enough to keep the blood in the cock, but not tight enough where there is no circulation.
PC: Where has your dancing taken you?
RSC: Honestly, I've gone outside the U.S. to the Caribbean islands. I've gone to different states in the U.S. I've gone to Canada. It continues to take me to different places.
PC: How can fans of yours book you for their events?
RSC: They can actually go to my website, RodneyStCloud.com, and they can email me through the website.
RSC: Whoa! (LOL) Oh boy, oh boy. OK. (LOL) The wildest? Pretty much, one of the shows I was hired to do. It was a birthday party. Once I arrived at the birthday party, there were four girls sitting in chairs. The room was dark. I got dressed. One of the birthday girls was sitting on the couch. She put her feet up to get comfortable. Once I saw she wasn't wearing any panties, I was like, "OK. I didn't get hired just to dance." I actually ended up turning. I guess I was a whore that night. I was being used as a piece of meat. I had to take turns with each girl. Pretty much I did my 45 minutes and I was done. And by the way, I didn't do a cum shot. (LOL)
PC: You were featured in the 2004 FDNY Hunky Heroes calendar. What was your reaction when you learned you would be featured in the calendar?
RSC: It was pretty cool. I just was having fun. I thought I could bring something to the table, being a pro bodybuilder. I wanted to do my part, being a fireman. As long as I was doing the calendar, I felt it was an obligation to do the best that Rodney could give them so that everybody could look good. Some of the proceeds was supposed to go to the burn center for firefighters. So, it felt good to use my body to help people.
PC: You were fired from your job as a firefighter when you released one of your first softcore DVDs. Tell me about what was going on in your head when you were let go from your duties as a firefighter.
RSC: The whole situation has three parts to it. The first, and major part, was the real reason, their reason, why they fired me. It was because I tested positive for steroids. The second part was that I was also arrested for allegedly ordering all types of steroids to my wife's job. The third part, that overwhelmed the other two, was that I was an exotic dancer. I was a firefighter by day and an exotic dancer by night. But, the primary reason they fired me was because I tested positive for steroids.
At the time I used it when I was working for the fire department. When we competed out in Europe, I used it. In Europe, ironically it was legal. When I was tested, I claimed I used it legally and I didn't know the fire department tested for steroids.
RSC: Basically that goes to the second part of the whole "FDNY trilogy", where they alleged I ordered a package of steroids from China. The package came to the U.S. via JFK. A customs agent seized the package and said it was addressed to my ex-wife's job in my name. When they began the investigation, they arrested me on possession with the intent to distribute steroids.
What transpired was that I was acquitted of all charges. I beat the case. My current life at that point had died, as far as the fire department and professional bodybuilding. That era was over. I was reborn. I started focusing more in the adult industry, the exotic dancing and the web performances.
PC: What is your opinion on the rampant use of steroids in sporting professions?
RSC: Honestly, I have two feelings towards it. One of them is that I think that athletes are professional. They are they best in the world. People expect the best from these athletes. I think they should be allowed, within certain parameters, to be able to do what they need to do to be the best that they can. On the other side, with athletes lying... I understand they are lying to protect contracts. But, unfortunately with athletes lying and certain people lying and not being honest with the public, it gives the authorities the power to tell the general public what they think. The general public doesn't have any choice but to accept what the authorities say when the athletes are the ones who are using. Young people know there are steroids to be top athletes. The only information they can acquire is from the authorities, which I think is unfair.
PC: How long have you been into fitness?
PC: What are your physical stats?
RSC: 5'10 245 lbs. Arms: 21 inches. Chest: I don't know. Thighs: 30 inches. Calves: 19 inches. Waist: 30 inches.
PC: How often do you work out?
PC: How long have you been bodybuilding?
RSC: For 20 years. I've always been lean. I've had a bodybuilder physique since I was 5-years-old. The reason I got into it is because a friend of mine. I was asked to do a bodybuilding show in high school. He knew of my body. I was cut. He came up to me, because he knew that would be something I would be good at. I took his advice, and I'm glad I did. When I started training, it was for a competition.
PC: You have competed in several bodybuilding competitions and placed in quite a few of them as well. Do you enjoy the big production that those events become?
RSC: I appreciated them. Yeah, I enjoy them.
PC: In bodybuilding competitions, sometimes the judging can be brutal, particularly since you are just standing there like a slab of meat, posing as you get every inch of muscle critiqued. Is that something you had to get used to? Or did you just tune it out?
RSC: The experience is... You get on stage. That's the battle dude. That's what you get on stage for. Either you have what it takes, or you don't. If you have what it takes, people let you know. Sometimes the judges don't, 'cause they have to do their job. But, the audience will let you know you look great. Especially if you are competing enough, and they get to see your physique. You eventually find out if you stand out from all the meat up on stage. Yeah, you get used to it. It's not worth competing if you can't compete with the best. Thirty of the best physiques, the hugest bodies, the biggest biceps. That's what you train for.
RSC: Competing in the Mr. Olympia twice. I placed 12th in 2003. And being able to shake Arnold Schwarzenegger's hands. And I also met Arnold the first year he became governor.
PC: What would you consider to be your best physical attribute?
RSC: I would say, honestly, my symmetry. My best physical attribute is my symmetry. There's nothing too big or too small. Which is ironic 'cause I guess we will get to the penis size. Growing into my body, it has allowed me to match up everything perfectly. Symmetry is my best attribute. Technically if they ever had a real bodybuilding competition, Greek-style with everyone nude, I would probably win because of my symmetry.
In general? It has to be between my glutes and my cock. (LOL)
RSC: Absolutely yes. Kai Greene.
PC: Do you enjoy the attention your body gets?
RSC: Yes I do.
PC: You have an official website, RodneyStCloud.com. What can your fans find on your website?
RSC: Everything. They will get to know me, inside and out. They will get to know me mentally and emotionally. When you read about me, it tells you who I am. You are going to get into my head and see my creative side, physical side and emotional side. It is me.
PC: Your website started off featuring softcore video clips of your workout routines. It then slowly started to feature nude and masturbation scenes. Now it includes several hardcore sex scenes. How did this gradual change in your site's tone come about? Was it your intention to slowly turn your site hardcore?
RSC: The gradual evolution of my website was controlled. I definitely thought about it carefully. It was something that had always been on my mind. One of the main reasons was because I have always known what I had, as far as my penis, being an exotic dancer and having many stories that I have in my mind. When I got hired to dance, it really wasn't just 'cause of my body or my dick, it was the fantasy. And I realized that with all the attributes that I have together, people wanted to see something different. Something that's entertaining. And at the same time, something that is powerful. A powerful man just being very sexy. So that was a gain. The site eventually going into hardcore sex scenes was definitely gradual, and it was well thought out. It was done intentionally, definitely.
RSC: One of the main fetishes that I have is a feet fetish. One thing I am is very creative. I can turn regular sex into so many different things. That's just the creative side of it.
PC: What do you enjoy doing sexually?
RSC: I enjoy being dominant.
RSC: I lost my virginity... I think I was 15- or 16-years-old. I was listening to some music and I kissed my way into some pussy.
PC: Just how big are you below the belt?
RSC: Technically, I measured it and it was 10 inches. It's a little bit more because I'm curved. I just round it off to 11. It's hard to measure it, since it's curved, with a ruler. I'm uncut.
PC: When did you first realize you were packing major inches?
RSC: When I was about 5-years-old. The reason why I knew was because as most kids do, we stumble upon pornos. Me and my sisters used to watch TV. And we used to get reception from a channel that had softcore porn. I was between 5- and 7-years-old. Watching that, I learned about erections. When I had an erection, I would go to the bathroom. I would think, "Wow! This is weird." That developed from watching hardcore porn. Everybody either had straight cocks or were circumcised. So, I already knew I wasn't normal. And ironically it led me to be very self-conscious about my dick. So, I always knew I had a big dick. I didn't want anybody seeing me nude. Watching porn back then, you only saw white people having sex. White people are circumcised and had straight dicks in porns back then. No veins on their dicks. Well back then they didn't. I felt different. Feeling different made me feel very self-conscious about my penis. So, it's pretty cool right now, that I'm able to show it off.
PC: What kind of reaction do you usually get when someone sees it for the first time?
RSC: (LOL) "Oh shit!" Anywhere from... I'm talking about men and women. They pretty much give the craziest reactions. The craziest reaction I got was from a man, he had to have been about 60- or 70-years-old. He was in the room. No big deal. I walked passed him to get to a girl. He kind of leaned over, in an old man lean, like he's about to kneel over. He grabbed my cock and was like, "What is this?" He looked at it and shook his head. He must have been like, "Holy shit! It's real!" (LOL) So, that's the most outrageous shit that's ever happened. And it was the funniest shit. Everyone was just laughing.
PC: Describe one of your hottest sexual encounters.
RSC: The hottest? Whoa... Let's see. I got hired to do a bridal shower. The reason it was hot is because this is how I get ideas for my video scenes. To make a long story short, he's about to get married that weekend. i took her to the back, dominant-style. I put her on the bed and pulled her pants to her knees. Of course it was pretty raw, literally. Fucked her in the pussy. Fucked her in the ass. Back in her pussy. Pulled it out. And came in her mouth. Now, after busting her shit open, she took tissues to wipe herself. She had a little bit of blood. Walked out and said, "Thank you very much." Now that was the hottest shit. The way she said it. Like, "Thank you." I just pretty much ravaged her body and she said, "Thank you." She appreciated that I bused all her holes open, came in her mouth and left a blood trail. She pulled up her clothes and put on her hat and said, "Thank you." That was the hottest shit for me. That's something I can make a scene out of. I will, so people can understand.
RSC: I like anything I can get deep inside of. I would say that oral has never been my thing. Because, unless she can deep throat my cock, you're just teasing the hell out of me. So, like I said, anal used to be huge for me. It still is. It used to be the fucking huge thing, just the thought of it was like a fantasy. Watching porn, watching guys do anal... How the fuck am I going to stick my big dick in some tight little asshole? Of course, I was young. I didn't know better. I put it in the back of my mind, my head. (LOL) Then, when I was finally able to do it once. Oh shit! I made sure I buried my cock deep in a bitch's ass. (LOL) Of course, the only problem was that I fucked the shit out of her, literally. That's the only thing. That's not a problem. I'm a nasty fuck. I mean, that's the only thing that I guess I usually do. I go a little bit too deep and I basically go into the sewage. (LOL) And I guess I fuck the shit out of her.
PC: Has anyone been able to deep throat your dick before?
PC: Do you enjoy getting your ass licked?
RSC: Hell yeah! That's the best. I enjoy that warm, soft, wet tongue just tickling that asshole. It is definitely a soothing feeling.
PC: Is there a particular reason you enjoy showing off your ass?
RSC: Me showing off my ass off is part of me evolving, as far as not being afraid to open up, literally. (LOL) Before, I used to be very rigid. And I was like, "Wow! I can't do this." Showing off my ass is a way... Listen, people like it. And I'm able to show off my ass... And I guess this is for men who has this "ego" thing. I am able to show it without feeling like I'm being a bitch.
PC: You shoot some massive cum loads. Do you do anything in particular to maintain those fountain pop shots?
RSC: Well, one of the things that probably helps is that I don't really have recreational sex. I pretty much, sometimes not all, have lowered the amount of times I have recreational sex. Because, I do video shoots twice a week, sometimes three times a week. That is something that helps. But, I've always had extremely thick cum loads. I'm talking about where I can actually tie it up. That's something that I've always had.
PC: What is your favorite place to shoot your load?
RSC: Anywhere. (LOL) You talking about if I have a partner there? Oh... Oh man... Honestly, I think it's a mix between like... I think creampies. I think internal cum shots are good. When you see it actually pumping out and then seeing some of the residual hanging out the side of a person's mouth or some of it just around the rim of someone's ass or the rim of the pussy... You know they had a whole bunch of cum dumped in them. I think it's the hottest shit, 'cause it's natural. Another good thing is to actually see the actually stem of the cock, the base, ejecting, almost like pump action. Pumping the load. That's hot.
PC: You have given your website's members a preview of your new website StrippersInTheHood.com. Tell me a bit about what can be found on that new site.
RSC: That website is primarily geared towards the urban male dancers. Doing my research on the internet, I realized most of the sites for male exotic dancers are geared towards white people, and then you have the token Blacks. There are no professionally done websites that are geared towards urban men. All the men on the sites have a little pretty boy look. You want a fantasy. You want a guy that's 245 lbs of muscle and hardcore. You see these 150 lbs guys that look timid. But, you have this fantasy of a guy that looks like he's fresh out of prison. That's the fantasy. So, that's Strippers In The Hood.
PC: You have a large fan base that is very supportive of you. The striking part is that your fan base is equally made of women and men. What does it feel like knowing you have this strong group of supporters following your career?
RSC: I want to tell them thank you so much. I mean... I love them. I love them all. Awe man. You have no clue... Without them, I wouldn't know where the fuck I'd be.
PC: Where do you see yourself in five years?
RSC: In five years I will still be active in front of the camera. But, I have some creative things I'm developing. I'm going to put this out there, I am a father, first and foremost. I am still a father. Secondly, I am trying to develop a whole new form of entertainment for men with muscles. And I don't mean just because they have muscles... Incorporate a fantasy side. For instance, I see a whole bunch of movies with superheroes. And I find it crazy that with so many bodybuilders in the world, none are in these movies. Even if they didn't have any speaking parts. Bodybuilders have the physiques portrayed in the comic books. There should be more ways to give work to bodybuilders to show off their body.
PC: Now I am going to ask you seven questions that I like to call "Papi Chulo's LIST." These seven questions have been asked to all of my interview subjects. The first question is... What are your Top 5 favorite television shows?
RSC: I don't watch too much TV. One of the TV shows I like is to watch Tom and Jerry cartoons, as well as Bugs Bunny.
PC: McDonald's Big Mac or Burger King's Whopper?
RSC: McDonald's Big Mac. I just actually had one earlier this week.
PC: What's your favorite color?
RSC: Chrome silver, like the Silver Surfer.
PC: What's your favorite sexual position?
RSC: Anything dominant. I'm on top, behind, standing up. A good question would be: What's my least favorite position? I hate it when someone's riding me. That's very submissive to me. If I'm under, I have to be doing the pogo stick, pumping away under. I can't just sit there and be rigid. It turns me off.
RSC: That's between shit and fuck.
PC: If you could be anywhere right now... Where would you be?
RSC: With my son.
PC: Well this brings us to the end of our interview. Is there anything you would like to say to your fans?
RSC: Thank you so much. Thanks for your support. Thanks for your love. And I won't let you down. Special thanks to Artuli Media. And stay tuned to my new projects coming real soon.
